Achill is the largest island off the Irish coast, covering an area of about 57 square miles. It is connected to the mainland by a causeway measuring 740 feet. The Minaun cliffs rise to 800 feet. |

There is a lighthouse at Mizen Head at the tip of the peninsula. To reach it, you must cross a suspension bridge while the waves swirl around 150 feet below your feet. Here, a storm is raging and the mist and fog add even more to the irish mood. Co Cork.
